No headset audio, although everything indicates I should have sound.

I have Dolby Atmos audio through my LG soundbar connected to my LG TV via the HDMI ARC input. The Xbox is connected via HDMI to the LG TV with the sound output settings on Bitstream and Dolby Atmos. This setup works fine for room audio. However, when
I connect my Turtle Beach headset to the Xbox wireless controller, all the sound settings switch to headset mode but no sound comes out of the headset. Visually, all the settings appear to be correct and change when I plug/unplug the headset. However, the
soundbar continues to output sound and the headset does not. My controller indicates it has up to date firmware and I've tried a hard reset several times. Ideas?

    :)

    My game has no sound...

    Thx for the answer!

Does your monitor have built in speakers?

    Nope

Do you have a headset you can try to see if you get sound that way?

I'm always using a headset and I've tried different ones on different controllers. The sound still works when you are not running any game or app. but as soon a game starts there is no sound.

What are your actual settings for audio?

    Speaker audio:

    HDMI audio - Headset format

    Optical audio - Headset format

    Bitstream format - Off

    Headset audio:

Headset format - Windows Sonic for Headphones

Using HDMI or optica audio headset, not checked = no

    Then it says:

"All audio is optimised for headsets right now. Once you unplug your headset, it'll go back to normal."

    No Ingame sound from TV...

Hey everyone.. So i have this problem that is almost unfixable... in my mind, I have been looking everywere and the only person who had my same problem didnt get answered, so my problem basicly is that i had a headset... but i unpluged everything wanting
to use my tv speakers because i have no battries for my headset. so after unpluging everything i was thinking it would have worked, hahaha.. yeah.. no. Ive gome into audio and turned everything up i switched audio from dolby digital to digital sound and both
dont work. Im useing HDMI for visual and for sound... I got the Yellow, Red, White plug things(tech novice, dunno names) I pluged them into audio in and out and switched them and just every posible thing doesnt work. How can i get my sound working?

No headset audio, although everything indicates I should have sound.

Just checked, and I CAN hear audio messages. Just no in-game audio.

(Unable to find Microphones for these people) Issue

check that the audio levels are correct, so that the microphone is heard, although you should consider that it is the control that is damaged since when testing it with several devices everything indicates that that is the problem

Xbox One X - After update my controller dosen't detect any headset I plug in and there is no sound.

    Hi there,

What is the specific headset you are plugging into the adapter?

Headset's, headphones, or earbuds with stereo sound will have the ability to have game audio along with chat volume that is adjusted with the adapter or in the "Audio" settings that will only appear when plugging into the 3.5mm port which you have confirmed
was the issue with the original controller.

There are some headsets however that do not have stereo sound and are strictly only meant to chat with others, and are usually referred to as chat headsets. These tend to only have one earpiece whereas stereo headsets will have two.

If you have a stereo headset/headphones plugged into the adapter, then the chat mixer slider that is usually found in the "Audio" settings will be controlled on the adapter with the game controller icon button indicating the game audio volume and the button
with the icon of a person indicates the chat audio volume.

    Dolby Atmos

Your audio settings on the Xbox one should be as follows

Speaker audio: -Bitstream Out -Off -Dolby Atmos for home theater

Headset audio: (everything below matters if only using 3.5 m jack) -Dolby Atmos -Uncheck using HDMI or optical audio headset (this may be the deal breaker if your headset requires optical or hdmi, the above settings matter too)

You need to understand where the sound is getting decided into your headset so many ppl will have to use the optical or hdmi which needs to be setup properly.

Unable to hear out of headset, but I can with TV speakers

What type of headset is it? I know some headsets can't play game audio, but if it worked before I don't know. You should check your settings by going to Display and Sound > Volume. Check and make sure everything is how you want it.
