No game sound in headset, recon 50, new, only party chat.

Can hear thru tv. Not headset.

Hey there Mash!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to get your headset to connect.

Now, usually the best thing to do would be a power cycle as previously posted, but if that doesn't do the trick, then I would try the steps outlined in

Xbox One Chat Headset troubleshooting.

When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helps.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

If you have tried the power cycle and the audio still isn't working try the following:

If your active game or app becomes quiet or inaudible when you're using Kinect in party chat or on a Skype call, your Chat mixer may be set to focus only on the conversation. To adjust the level of sound while communicating, adjust the Chat mixer settings:

Press the Xbox button
to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select Display & sound.
Select Volume.
Select Chat mixer.
Select one of the available option

you should check your nat type, that happens to me before, but to be sure is not your controle try to send a voice message and play the record so you can know if your control recivie the mesage

Chat mixer is on "reduced sounda bt 50%" party chat output is headset

Change volume by voice is on 3 steps

And the only sound that goes through when im streaming or recording a clip is just my voice thats it
