No game or console audio but party audio?

Hello,

I have an incredibly unusual issue as I’ve never seen this issue be reported ever on an Xbox, the problem i have is with audio, this occurs when i plug in a headset, for some reason i have no Xbox sounds and no game sounds (when playing games), you
may think that my headset is broken but this is where the oddity arises, i still have party audio, you may also think this is because i have the audio mixer in the audio settings set to only party sounds, but when further investigating there isn’t then regular
bar that normally appears only two bars appear “headset volume” and “mic monitoring” missing the “headset chat mixer” this isn’t an issue with my particular headset as I’ve already owned 3 headsets before, and have swapped my controller as the previous one
stopped working and then started working again (long story) so i used the new one which was brand new as it was newer. I have had this issuer with both controllers and multiple separate headsets. So it cannot be a hardware issue unless it my Xbox (Xbox one

hello i have just reset my console i have the exact same issue nothing has changed do you have any advice for what i should do?

(i cannot replace my console as i don't have enough money for it)

Hi There,

Sorry to hear you are experiencing these audio issues, and they do sound weird. Have you perhaps tried resetting your Xbox? You seem to have covered the majority of setting changes that may fix the issue so resetting may be the final option.

First try contacting Xbox Support and this is probably a bug a really weird bug and also try resetting your Xbox.
