    No dashboard even after cold restart


    So interesting issue happened yesterday. I came home to play halo infinite MP and while it was downloading I loaded MCC to find my old bdotnet videos. They were not on there, so I loaded up halo 3 Xbox 360. I signed into my 360 dashboard on my series x and was able to find the videos but then closed the emulator and went back to the series x dashboard and it was black. So I restarted. Still black but notifications are still popping up. I forced shutdown and pulled the power and wait about 60 seconds then replugged back in and started back up and the dashboard is still black but games are still downloading. I tried this a couple times cause I don’t want to restore my xbox. So I tried something.

    I opened the Xbox app and launched the infinite MP there and it popped up on my Xbox to play. I was able to play. So my issue is that the dashboard has crashed and won’t come back up. I’m hoping since everything is still working in the background that it will update on the next skip ahead drop. This is the first big bug I have dealt with in months. Possibly in the last couples years since the big dashboard change.

    So I was wondering if anyone had this peculiar issue that seems to maybe have been an issue with running the Xbox 360 emu and it crashing the series x or previous Xbox ones dashboards

    I won’t reset until I see if the next alpha skip ahead might resolve this issue. Unless someone from the Xbox insiders team says otherwise.

    Have fixed my problem by COLD BOOT (pushing glowing xbox logo for several seconds and restart it). After the restart all games works as they should and started without any problems

    hello there have you done a complete cold restart/reboot or cleared your cache and then restarted the console rebooted the internet and maybe possibly even went to check to see if servers are down in your area these are common fixes to most issues

    Have you tried restarting your PC? Sometimes that will help eliminate some of these types of issues. A cold boot (shut the PC down completely) is the best way to go. Once it is off then after about 30 seconds restart it and see if you can log in then.
