    No cloud saves for Gamepass PC?


    I recently had my main Hard drive die on me and so I had to start with a fresh one and I didn't recover any data from the old one. I was under the impression that the game saves for Gamepass games was stored in the cloud as long as you have an active Xbox Live subscription and you were logged in while playing. I'm quite sure that for the majority of my play time I was logged in and assumed my saves were being stored on the cloud. Now after I've reinstalled the Xbox app, signed in and reinstalled my games I seem to have no save data for any of them. I know not all games have cloud saving, but I know at least a few of mine (Sea of Thieves and Sunset Overdrive) are capable. I'm not sure what happened, if there's anything I can do? I did search the forums, but I didn't find an answer that was close enough to my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    Xbox Play Anywhere game doesn't support cloud saves - but that's an integral feature!

    nope gamepass ultimate is not required for cloud saves on PC. you don't even need gamepass for cloud saves on PC as i have many games that save to the cloud without any subs and are usable on console.

    but that game is a play anywhere game and the whole deal with that is you get to play your game on console and windows 10 pc and your save goes with you, regardless of sub.

    i know hollow knights does not support cloud save via gamepass pc so the other 2 maybe the same. there are so many shortfalls of gamepass pc. i cant find a specific list of the games that support cloud saves either.

    a lot of the pc gamepass games do not have cloud saves and only save locally, be aware of this if you ever reset your pc.
