No CEC-HDMI, very disappointed!

Well just come back to Xbox after leaving it when the new generation started for PS4. I have since upgraded to PS4 Pro, but was getting pretty annoyed with the jumbo jet fan. Plus there are some cool exclusives I was missing out on. Games wise I have been
impressed so far.

However, it seems after some searching that the lack of CEC is a long standing issue. I have managed to set it up with the IR blaster thing, so it switches off my tv and av receiver etc. But it does not auto switch HDMI, which also means I don't get auto
picture settings on my Sony TV.

Surely this is something they can and should add on a premium console?

One Guide and Windows Media Center PC (HTPC)

Most PC Graphics Cards if any Do Not Support CEC so it's unlikely you will be able to change channel using Windows Media centre via HDMI. You can However buy CEC adapter like this. www.pulse-eight.com/.../usb-hdmi-cec-adapter

I don't know what anynet is, nor do I know if "HDMI control" and HDMI-CEC are the same thing, but HDMI-CEC is supported according to MS.

I was searching for the HDMI volume through all the settings and couldn't find any, that's very disappointing. Most of the time I play when my kid is sleeping so I use headphones. Since I use HDMI-CEC to turn-off TV automatically, lack of this option forces me to disable sound in TV settings. And when the kid is going to watch some cartoons, I had to put it back again - pretty annoying, especially because my family watches YouTube with smart TV box connected to display, also with HDMI-CEC. To outline: I had to find TV Display own remote or go press TV buttons ONLY because of this option being missing. Very disgusting. Please fix

xbox does not support hdmi cec, but it controls tv's via infrared, check to see if this is still setup on your console and re programme if needed.
