It is important to note that the wireless headset you have is not compatible with Xbox consoles.
Wireless headsets for Xbox uses a proprietary connection and not Bluetooth (the same as Xbox controllers).

If the box of your wireless headset doesn’t say “Designed for Xbox”, it is not compatible wirelessly.

However, if your headset supports a 3.5 mm connection, you can connect it in that way to your controller, and you should be able to use it.

I've tried everything several times, on separate TV's and I'm sure it was the proper port. There is no audio to the tv but I still get audio through my wireless headset.

You headset is wireless, but it only supports wireless game audio, so you will have to have the headset plugged into the controller for chat to work properly.

On your controller's chat adapter you will want to press the button that rises the volume of voice chat until it beeps and won't allow you to adjust it anymore, this will ensure only chat audio is being sent through the controller since your wireless adapter
is broadcasting the game audio.
