    No audio in Warzone but audio works in Xbox I’m getting crazy


    Hello, i bough today an Xbox Series S and connected it through HDMI to my Samsung G5 monitor.
    It works, enabled 1440p and 120hz… but the problem is no audio and I think the G5 is the reason why it doesn’t work.

    I have my Turtle Beach headphones connected via USB to the console, headphones work perfectly on YouTube, on Discord on system sound in the Xbox. Problem starts when I fire up Warzone. As soon as I start Warzone I’m able to listen at first to the music of the animation but after a few seconds while it goes to the main menu of the game it becomes muted, I have the game muted completely, no audio at all, of course I'm still able to listen to my friends talking in Discord in the background. I’m going crazy, I don’t understand why I don't get any audio only for Warzone.

    I know it is the G5, I know it's the screen that has something wrong. I reset the Xbox, reinstalled the game, factory reset, played with all the audio settings, enabled the pass through, forced the audio to the headphone unchecking the toggle that says "send audio via hdmi" I tried everything in Xbox. I searched on Reddit… nothing.

    Here is how I understand the whole headset compatability works (maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong):

    GAME AUDIO

    If your headset gets the game audio via a box linked to your gaming machine via optic audio out - this audio will continue to work as designed, as the xbox One has optic out as well.

    CHAT AUDIO

    If your headset gets the chat audio via a direct bluetooth wireless link to the xbox360 machine - then this headset will not work with chat audio on the xbox One.

    If your headset gets the chat audio wireless via a bluetooth puck that plugs into the 360 controller (not a direct wireless link to the gaming machine) -then this may work with the xbox One depending on how the forthcoming adapter works with next gen controllers.

    If your headset gets the chat audio via a cable directly connected to your xbox360 controller - then this may work on the xbox One depending on how the upcoming adapter works with the xbox One controller.

    went to settings audio to make sure xbox was reading the headset, did a hard reset on the console, deleted warzone 2.0 and re downloaded it

    Unfortunately, this did not work. I took a clip today and the audio worked just fine, so I’m going to look into this.

    Xbox Wireless Headset Distorted Sound

    Yesterday (12/1/2021), I experienced extremely choppy audio in Warzone. Thinking this may be a wireless issue, I unplugged the XBox Wireless Adapter and used the USB-C port for audio (USB-C to USB-C). Guess what? I still had choppy audio on the Xbox Wireless headset! I switched to an older 3.5 mm headphone, and the audio was fine.

    I think switching to a wired headset is a good idea at this point, as the Scruffy Fuzzy said above.
