  2. Not getting audio from Live TV

    I have the following devices:

    • Xbox One
    • Comcast cable box
    • Sont HT-CT660 soundbar
    • Panasonic ST60 tv
My cable box and TV are connected to Xbox via HDMI and my soundbar is also connected to the TV via HDMI. I am getting audio from my games and Xbox in general, but nothing from live TV (e.g., when I go through setup, I get the video fine, but not audio from
the various channels). I'm an A/V novice, but it seems that audio that was going from cable box to TV to soundbar is no longer getting to the soundbar now that my XB1 is inline.

Xfinity / Comcast cable box (RNG110) No audio

I had this exact same problem and struggled with it for a while with my Comcast RNG110 set top box - no audio when going through TV, but all other audio from the XBox One worked. Tried changing a bunch of settings in my set top box and nothing worked. I
figured it was an HDMI cable issue but I didn't have another HDMI cable so I simply switched the cables (the HDMI cable that ran between the set-top box and the XBox now runs between the XBox and the TV and the one from the XBox to the TV now runs between
the XBox and the set-top box). Everything works perfectly now!

Screen freeze every 2 seconds with 2d message on cable box

I am having the exact same issue. Doing HDMI passthrough from my Comcast X1 box to the XB1. picture freezes. Also there is no audio. I reset the cable box video out put to 1080p/60 and surround audio. This does not make any difference. The cable works fine
going directly to my TV or receiver. Issue only presents itself on the XB1.

    5.1 setup HDMI not working...

I take it you are using the receiver for audio purposes only ?

If that's the case you won't need the HDMI cable from the receiver to the Tv, the audio from both the Xfinity box and Xbox should be routed through the optical out on the Xbox to the receiver so that HDMI cable is pretty much redundant.
