No active gamer profile

Hi.

I apologise if this has been covered before but im completely lost.

I got my son an xbox and it works fine for 99.9% of the games he plays. However, i downloaded Lego Batman from the xbox 360 for him and everytime he wants to play it, it comes up with a message saying..... "you do not have an active gamer profile. Saving and achievements will be disabled. To create or load a gamer profile now, press the xbox guide button. Press A to continue without saving and achievements"

what is this on about?? he clearly has an active gamer profile because he has several games he already plays. It just seems to be this one.

now it did give me an option to load my old gamer profile from the xbox 360 however when i did that, it wiped my game on my xbox (yes we are both playing the same batman game haha) I also tried pressing the "view" and "select" buttons to open the xbox 360 dash as i read this might be a solution, but after deleting my old account off it, it still does this same thing.

is there a way for me to make my sons account an "active gamer profile" so he can actually play the game??

He needs to use the 360 dashboard inside the game to download his profile with the same email and password he used to create his gamertag

i have found the email address... it was a 2nd email address of mine that i never use.

So if my son has his own account, and its attached to his (my other) own email... why does the game keep saying his account has "no active gamer profile"

surely the fact he has an account and can play all his other games kinda proves his account is very much active.

or it this because its an xbox 360 game and he didnt have an account back then... because he wasnt born lol

I apologise, I forgot i set it up connected to my email account.

Could this be the issue? Would I have to create an email address for him to be able to play older 360 games on his own account?

Child accounts on Xbox one/series have email attached, it's impossible to have an account profile without having email

That email and password will be necessary to log in the Xbox 360 guide inside the game
