Nintendo switch purchases not syncing with microsoft account

Same issue here. If I log into Minecraft on my Nintendo switch under my Nintendo account, I can see the DLC. But it will not sync over to my Microsoft account to be able to play on different devices.

Has anyone had luck syncing purchases made with a Nintendo account to a Microsoft account in Minecraft marketplace?

If your Switch says you have purchased Minecraft: Deluxe Edition but you don't have the items it promised, it could be due to a few reasons:

Sync Error: Sometimes the purchases on your Nintendo Switch account may not sync correctly with the game servers. Try logging out of the game and then logging back in.

Incorrect Account: If you have multiple Nintendo accounts, check to make sure you're signed in with the correct account that made the purchase.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

Minecraft purchases won't sync between your Nintendo account and Microsoft account if you don't have an Xbox Live Gamertag made with your Microsoft Account. Login with your Microsoft Account from https://account.xbox.com/
and make sure you have a Gamertag, then try logging into Minecraft again with your Microsoft Account.

If you are still having issues with the purchases not appearing, then you would need to contact Nintendo customer support to confirm the purchases were completed as Xbox or Microsoft customer support would not have access to your Nintendo account billing
history.

1. Log into Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition on your Switch account. This will sync the latest purchases.
2. Log into the Minecraft on your Switch and you’ll be automatically granted the entitlements for that DLC.
   

Note For every purchase you make on the previous version, you must first log into
Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, exit, and then launch the new Bedrock version for purchases to sync. DLC purchased within
Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition will only remain on your Nintendo Switch device and will not carried over into other devices.

You said the gamertag changed? Did your son log out of the game and maybe created a new account? You can check your account at https://account.microsoft.com.

For the game on the switch not showing the DLC you purchased, maybe these steps can help. According to our Minecraft for Nintendo Switch FAQ | Xbox Support:
