Next Xbox Console Should Run On Battery Powered

I THINK THE NEXT XBOX THAT COMES OUT SHOULD RUN ON BATTERY POWER.WHICH MEANS THAT IF U ARE PLAYING ON TV U CAN JUST CONNECT THE POWER CABLE AND PLAY.BUT IF U ARE AT A PLACE WHERE NO POWER SOCKETS ARE THERE U CAN PLAY A "PLAY ANYWHERE" GAME ON UR XBOX.LIKE
UR PHONE IS BATTERY POWERED IT SHOULD BE ON THE XBOX TOO.THE MAXIMUM POWER CAN BE 3-6 HOURS.

:)
Joypads aren't electrical, they're battery powered. Wired pads are USB powered.
They are still an electrical product even if they run on batteries.

How to Setup Your Xbox One Console

Congratulations! You managed to get yourself a brand new Xbox One! Now let us help you get it up and running.

First things first; let’s make sure everything you need is in the box; it should include the following:

1. Xbox One console
2. Kinect sensor
3. Power supply
4. Power cord
5. Xbox One wireless controller
6. Two AA batteries
7. Chat Headset
8. One HDMI cable
9. Documents (Quick Start Guide, Manual, Xbox Live Trial card)

Once you have confirmed everything was inside the box, it’s time to prep for installation. The next thing we should do is remove the protective film from the front on the console; it is a clear sticker with writing on it which includes some important warning. Once you have read through the warnings simply remove the sticker and discard.

The next important step is simply choosing a location for your Xbox One; the area should be well ventilated and uncluttered to avoid the console over heating. Please note that the Xbox One’s primary venting is via the top of the console and so you shouldn’t stack anything on top of it (ie dvd, bluray, game cases).

It’s time to connect the console to your TV, luckily Microsoft was nice enough to include a HDMI cable for us and so we can use that one or a different if preferred. One end of the cable should go to your TV and the other to the “HDMI OUT” port on the console.

Now let’s get the console online. Using a networking cable (ie Cat5, Cat6, etc) connect the modem/router to the Ethernet connection on the back of your console. You can now also connect your Kinect to the marked port on the back of the console.

Now we’re ready to connect the power brick (power supply) to the console. First plug the power supply to the back of the Xbox One and then connect the power cord to the power supply. Finally connect the power cord to your electrical outlet; MSFT strongly recommends not connecting into a surge protector and connecting straight to the wall outlet.

Lastly, insert the batteries provided into your controller and hold the Xbox button on the front of the controller to power on your new console. It’s important to note that the controller, which was included with the console, is already synced. If you have purchased extra controllers, please follow these instructions to sync: Controller Setup Guide

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Xbox Controller not functioning correctly ##

If anyone runs into this issue, then do the following.

With the console powered on, remove the batteries completly from the xbox controller,

Hold down the power button the xbox until it powers down,

With the batteries still out of the controller, power the xbox up,

With the xbox powered up and on the home screen insert the batteries into the controller,

Now press and release the sync button on the console,

Now turn the controller on and immediately press and hold the sync button until the controller lights stops flashing. Your welcome.

Xbox one controller disconnected during update now wont turn on

Try these two things.

1. Remove batteries and disconnect headset

2. Insert batteries

3. Press Xbox button

4. Hold View and Menu buttons together for 10 seconds

5. Controller should power back on

If that does not work...

1. Remove batteries and disconnect headset

3. Leave console at home screen and controller plugged into console, let sit for 5 minutes

4. Controller should power back on

Xbox 360 Slim Controller Refuses to Connect

The battery case could be faulty,i had one that was.

try cleaning the battery points or bend them a little so the batteries fit tighter, they could be getting shaken loose when the motors run.

to re-sync the controller try this;

turn off your console,

connect controller with the play a charge kit,

hold the sync button in on the controller,

turn on the console with the power button on the console while keeping the sync button held in,

wait a few moments while the console finds its home page.

this should allow you to use it without the lead from then on.

What feature would you like to see on the next Xbox?

I would like to see Xbox bring out a VR Headset with the next gen console. Consoles these days are powerful enough to run VR so Microsoft should release a VR Headset. I don't see the HoloLens coming out any time soon.
