Next Victim of Antiquated Enforcement System

So I know how these things typically go; person comes to internet saying they were muted/suspended/banned for an unjust reason and the post becomes full of comments telling them why and how they deserved it. Well I don’t care about those comments because I know that I am not guilty of Account Theft, Account Phishing or Solicitation, the listed reasons for my console ban, and I am not here for pity. I know writing this is as useless as the appeal process on the enforcement history page.

I have been using Xbox consoles since they originally released, I have been using the same Xbox one since 2013 and have spent the past year patiently waiting for One Xs to be available at proper retail value. What I can only guess amounts to thousands of dollars that I sweat and bled for spent on the Xbox Marketplace has all come from the same bank account since I had a 360.

I write this for the probably less than 1% chance that it can spark some sort of discussion, for as we move into a time where assets and property are becoming more frequently digital, that we can have some sort of change where Microsoft can actually value and take care of people that have been loyal customers, instead of hiding behind broken enforcement systems that protect them from any sort of accountability for their own ineptitude and mistakes thanks to lengthy user agreements.

Obsessive Power

The enforcement system isn't antiquated. Xbox Live has the same rules as pretty much all similar services provided by other companies. The Xbox Live enforcement teams don't issue permanent suspensions and console bans without good reason. It does not matter how much you've paid into the platform over the years.

This is a community forum, while there are Xbox employee's present here, they don't deal with enforcement policy. Most of us are just gamers.

As enforcement discussions do not end well, I will be locking this this thread.

I do not gameshare with anyone. The only account EVER signed into any of my Xboxs has been my account I’ve had since the early 2000s.

I haven’t asked anyone for personal or account information whether they be a friend or stranger not have I shared my info with anyone

& despite enforcement history telling page telling me it is only a 14 day suspension for the accused actions my console directly tells me it is a console ban and now I can’t even get to the enforcement page to check my appeal.

I know that for harmful messaging suspension the page will show you what message you sent that was the cause for the suspension. I wasn’t even afforded the luxury of being presented with whatever “evidence” they have for the actions taken

OK question did you gameshare with a stranger or asked for account details for gameshare? From a friend

If so that's account theft/phishing

You do not know the source of the account and you aren't allowed to ask for account details period

And console bans arent appealable

They are permanent

No online service allows theft or phishing

You gotta remember account theft and phishing is a broad amount of things

And you are never allowed to ask for personal details period

I have checked on the enforcement site but I could not submit a case review.

It also gives no details of times or dates as to when the incident happened.

From what I can gather, it is from what was spoken and this is nothing that can be investigated unless all chat is recorded.

As mentioned people could report you a thousand times a day, as long as you're not doing anything wrong Enforcement will see that when they investigate. When someone reports you they don't just take that persons word. They investigate each report thoroughly
and make a decision from there.
