New Xbox X, Cannot remember email account

Hello, we just purchased a new Xbox X. Unfortunately, when we purchased a digital only version of NBA 2K20 earlier this year on our old Xbox, we purchased it via my SON'S Xbox account (not mine) - as that is the account that he is always logged into. His
account had it's own game tag (which we DO know the name) BUT also it's own email account. Unfortunately, that email account has never been used since it was set up when our original Xbox was setup 5+ years ago. So... I am unable to retrieve that game and
did not save the MS game product key code. Can someone help with this?

Thank you for the quick response. I have tried all of that. I am concerned that because there was no activity in my son's account for the past 5+ years (original Xbox purchased Jan 2015), the account may have expired. Is there another way to get the product
key code using another email address or the credit card # I used to purchase? I do not plan on dropping the credit card # in this chat.

I've literally tried every email I can and I cannot at all sign in and I also don't remember the email whatsoever. I really don't want to make a entirely new ps4 account just to be able to play Minecraft with my friends.

cannot be done, you cannot transfer it to a new email as the xbox account IS the microsoft account, you would need to create a new account and have your parents account set as home on the console so you can access the games on the new account.

if you try changing the email via the alias setting then your parent will lose access and it will affect their email.

Xbox support cannot change the email on your account because I asked them about that the other day. They said it was for security reasons. When it comes to getting the email to register you will need to make sure that you can sign into the email in which
you are trying to swap it to on
http://login.live.com and then make sure that email is confirmed. If the new email was registered within 30 days it will not let you. Also, remember that support can only do so much when they cannot access the Windows Live ID system.
