New Xbox won’t update

Thanks for coming to the forums. On initial set up the update is a must. If you are having issues with the update and just purchased. We suggest you to return to the point of purchase and exchange it. There could be an issue with the hard drive itself.
You can try the
offline update, before you take back and exchange it to see if it helps. If continue to have issues after that we recommend to request a call from support.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

I bought a new xbox one s all digital edition when i try to set it up it wont let me do the update, ive tried reseting my internet switched from wireless connection to wired connection still nothing i even contacted microsoft but still no help,
has anyone had this problem ???

My name is Kai and I understand your situation I'd say you should hard reset your Xbox and because you can't do the update you can still factory reset it.

Please backup your'e games and write down the emails on your accounts and passwords to avoid your accounts being compromised.

Once you've factory reseted it it will ask you to put your language in then ask you for any accounts, after this it will ask you for your network and it should then ask you to update it and it should update if not it would've updated already while you was
doing the factory reset.

Hi guys I'm having the same problem!! Cannot play any new games because it won’t update, sent 12 emails spoke to numerous people and it all comes back and they say that the error code is because I have tampered/moded my Xbox!! WTF! I have never moded my
box! So I’m stuck again with an Xbox that won’t work!! I'm hoping the new update that came out today will sort this!

Last update was 10/27/23 and there is no new updates.I’ve tried different hdmi cables as well. Everything to do with the Xbox is glitchy. Rather it’s the menu or a game that won’t load in without crashing
