New Xbox Wireless Headset (2021)

I have the same issue, got mine in 2021 as a gift. After hearing the crackling I decided to keep them in the box for some time "maybe microsoft will fix it eventually in the next months" and keep using my wh1000xm4 wired, took it out of the box for playing some Rainbow six Extraction with my friends and the problem still persists.

Microsoft please fix it, it's not a cheap headset and it's the official (oh dear I can only imagine how buggy will be the "unofficial ones)
I will try the ethernet cable fix, good bye to my wireless workstation :/

I am having this issue I'm on the verge of sending them back my nephew my brothers have the same headset the xbox microsoft official wirless headset and it pops gets distorted and sound cuts out I have a 3 year warranty I have tried lots of troubleshooting but it fixes it for about a day any help would be great

I noticed this happened a lot for me when having them connect via Dolby Atmos or DTS-X. Stereo or Windows Sonic only did it every so often. However, after contacting Xbox support detailing this issue with this headset and the LS35X, it was recommended that the console come in for repairs.

I now have the Rig 800LX and works perfect. I just wish they had more customization. I'm considering the Arctis 9X.

Don't get the Microsoft wireless Xbox headset I made the mistake of thinking they were good but they disconnect and sound distorted a lot I guess that's why they now have a wired one.

Just got a brand new Series X with the Wireless headset and its cracking, distorting and dropping connection every few minutes or so. When it gets bad, it will drop entirely for a few seconds at a time before reconnecting.

I've tried hard resetting, unpairing and pairing, updating to 9.22 firmware three times and still have the issue.

This is so frustrating after spending upwards of $600 for this setup.

Question for the forum is...have you all tried other headsets? I'm curious if the problem lies with my Series X or just this headset. As I see the options as being:

• Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset for another Microsoft Wireless Headset.
  
• Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset and get a 3rd party headset.
  
• Warranty the Series X if the problem lies with specific hardware units.
