To change your son's account, you'll want to choose that option to Add. It'll ask if you want to create a new account or to sign into an account that has already been created. So you'll just sign into the account you created for him and it will add it to the console.

You do not have to enter the password every time you turn on the console. Under settings there's an option to change sign-in preferences and you can change that option.

If the games are already installed on the console, you don't have to redownload them.

I was able to add my son's account on the console but when we log into his account and try to select the games which I downloaded via the Xbox Unlimited Game Pass, it says 'The person who bought this needs to sign in'. I'm given the options to select 'see in Microsoft store', ' cancel' and 'open troubleshooter'. 'See in Microsoft Store' didn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

Hey there ShapedPrism91! Did you just create the Xbox LIVE account? Did you create the account online or on your console? As a first step, you may want to try
changing the password associated with your sons account to see if this alleviates the issue. Let me know if this is an option for you!
