    New Xbox One S Issue


    Hi so I just got an Xbox One S and I used the HDMI that came with it, I plugged everything in and started the setup and there was no audio at all except for when I plugged a headset in my controller but there was picture just fine. I didn't try that many
    things because I'm not sure what to do. I've posted this question before and there's either no response or when I get a response the method doesn't work, so when I reply and ask for another solution they don't respond. At this point I'm just desperate for
    methods and solutions to try. I would really appreciate it if someone could send me all the solutions I can try to fix this Xbox One S because I'm not sure if I should just leave it or return the Xbox. Also, I realized it wasn't the HDMI that came with the
    Xbox that was messed up because I even used a different HDMI and it still was all broke. I went to my General Volume and Audio Output and saw this message:

    "Your TV connection is set to DVI. For sound, you'll need an optical audio cable. If your using an HDMI cable please set your TV connection to HDMI"

    I'm using an HDMI cable, I'm not using an optical audio cable. Is this something I fix in the TV or in the Xbox? If it's in the Xbox could someone please tell me solutions I can try? Thank You!!!

    Hi,

    You need to re-enable HDMI on your console:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options > TV & OneGuide.
    3. Select Audio & video. In the first column, select HDMI.
    4. Make sure the second column shows Refresh rate: auto-detect.

    It does say auto-detect on the second column. However on HDMI is says not connected... but it is connected... I check and replugged everything in. And I am still not getting the audio.
