    New Xbox One S Audio Not Functioning


    Hello, I just recently bought an Xbox One S yesterday and I noticed that when I set it up there was no audio and only picture. I plugged in some earbuds to the remote and it worked fine. But the TV audio doesn't work.
    I recall my friend using his ps4 on this TV and it worked fine with the audio and picture. I went to my audio settings and saw this. Can someone help please? Thanks! (and I am using the HDMI that came with the Xbox S)

    What version of XBOX 360 is the best...safest?

    There is one other item to consider. The S series 360's have a digital optical audio port but the new E series does not.

    It's dead folks. The new Xbox one s doesn't even enable all the Kinect functions with the adapter.

    Time to sale it if you're going to upgrade to an S or Scorpio unless you use it for video chat, Twitch or Upload studio

    I'm also running into this issue. I have a gaming headset that had fully functioning audio and mic for several weeks. One day my xbox one s stopped showing that a headset or mic was detected. In the upper right corner of the dashboard I show a mic with
    a slash through it. I have tried 2 different controllers and 4 different headsets with mics. None are being detected. No sound, no mic. I have followed several online instructions from full power cycles, checking the mic on setting, checking the audio
    output headset audio checkbox, and clicking the start party option under user icon from the dashboard. So far nothing changes the mute (mic with a slash) icon in the upper righthand corner back to a headset icon. What am I missing? Also, just to cover all
    bases, both controllers are fully functioning with new batteries and are fully updated. All headsets have been checked on other devices and are fully functional. Please help!

    Does the Xbox One S console have Bluetooth Capability? I.E Bluetooth Headsets

    There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

    The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

    The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.
