New Xbox One Patrol Tech Controller Stick Drift

Recently I bought an
Xbox Controller to use on my Win 10 PC, and noticed that the left thumb stick leans slightly to the right when untouched, enough to cause input in some games. Figuring I must just have a bad controller, I bought a second one but it has the exact same problem.
Calibrating them both seems to help a little but you can see physically see the stick is leaning over. Is this just a thing about them or have I gotten unlucky twice? If so is there anyway to fix it or should I try buying a third one? Thanks in advance.

Microsoft please fix the controller stick drift please!!

Both sticks on my day one controller drift badly. The left stick on my new one drifts. I'm not gonna buy another Microsoft controller. I'll buy third party or switch to playstation. Tired of the nickle and dime crap!

My Xbox One Patrol Tech isn't detecting movement after 5 mins of the controller being on

Xbox one controller isn't detect movement and I have had it only for a few weeks

Hi, you have been unlucky twice. I certainly wouldn't purchase a new one. If you have recently just purchased them, then send them back to the retailer where you got them from and get a refund or a replacement. If you have had them longer, then contact Xbox

if you look after your tech and don't throw them around you can find Xbox one third party controller that are good and don't break as easy, my youngest has one that he uses, that gets thrown about banged, handled rough and works a charm no stick drift where as the Xbox one controllers fell apart and got severe stick drift, i got fed up of fixing them or replacing, got a third party one and its lasted longer.

also third party ones new still have a warranty for peace of mind.

Iv'e bought multiple controllers over the years and iv'e only had a stick drift issue with one of my controllers and it was on it's last legs to be honest (after serving me well over the years) it was time to retire the controller and get a new one, witch
i just bought a random controller that was brand new, and i haven't had problems with stick drift in many years.
