Is anyone else furious about prices on the Xbox One? I mean $69.99 ($80 when you add taxes) for all the upcoming games, WTF? Why would I pay $80 for a game when I can go on steam and pay $50. This makes absolutely no sense. I mean I already spent $1000 on
my Xbox One on the console and games, so this is like "*** You" right to my face by Microsoft and the game developers.

    :)

    New Xbox One game prices?

Steam sells PC games. PC games don't go through a certification process (also $50 for a PC game is a LOT). Also 30% is taken by the retailer (Steam) and however, on consoles Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo take their license fees which all adds on to the cost plus
the cost of the certification etc.

Not sure which State you live in but a $60 game + tax is coming in under $70 according to the tax rates listed on Wikipedia.

Gaming doesn't cost a lot in the grand scheme of things. Games cost $60-$80 on the NES so accounting for the scale of games now, the dev teams involved and inflation. Gaming is actually pretty cheap.

  5. Do you even know what you're talking about, the new games are $69.99, thats $70 not 60. Plus you ad taxes and thats $80 dollars. And the NES wasn't $500 dollars when it came out so I wasnt complaining when the games where that much. And gaming isn't cheap,
come on are you joking me with that one. A good PC cost $1000 dollars, and and Xbox One is $500. If thats cheap then you need to re think everything you know about money.

As far as I can tell, in the USA, the MSRP for new Xbox One games is generally $59.99. Where are you paying $69.99?

I don't know where you live but Xbox One games are the standard $59.99 here. Collector's edition are higher, but not standards. They're still $59.99 on Amazon still as well.
