New Xbox Elite Controller Loose Analog Stick

Hi all

I recently bought an Xbox One Elite controller, and upon opening it I found that the right analog stick was very loose. I've been doing some online research and found that this is a very common problem.

It is very disappointing that such an expensive and new controller will have this problem.

Im hoping Microsoft will be able to resolve or replace this defective controller?

How is your Elite Controller holding up?

The One and Elite controllers use a very small analog stick mechanism and there's a clip that works loose resulting in these issues.

Buy a warranty with your Elite Controller!!

The analog stick mechanism on the standard and Elite One controller is much smaller than the 360 controller mechanism and is prone to the internal clips coming loose. The build quality of the One's controller components should be much better.

I've had issues with the analog sticks on my elite controller after a year of use. They should extend the warranty or something because this issue is common and linked to the crappy analog sticks they put in there controllers.

I might be bumping this, but I really hate the new loose analog sticks on the Xbox One. Poor choice by the designers.

@CrypticBoz - the issue of the failing analog sticks has been of public knowledge for nearly two years and they've not addressed it, in fact the Elite controllers which are being sold on the pitch that they are of superior durability and craftsmanship as
to extend its longevity when on the contrary they are actually of the same shoddy build as the original controllers as they sport the same plastic pieces on the analog module that fail as with the original controllers, this is what causes the analog sticks
to fail and to develop stick drift
