    New Xbox controller works on steam, but not the Xbox PC app?


    I got a new xbox controller so I could use it wireless with the Xbox app on pc, but it doesn't seem to work. When I try Gears 5 or The Outer Worlds my controller does nothing. But if I start a game on steam it works immediately, any help would be great.

    I have done that but nothing seems to work. The g27 is working on the steam app but not on windows Xbox on pc. Also the controler doesn’t show up at all on forza controler settings

    Hi guys, I bought an xbox-one controller. The problem is microsoft games don't take steam settings of controllers, and the switch pro controller work only with steam on pc.

    Steam should recognise it as a standard Xbox controller, and accept inputs based on what was mapped in the Xbox Accessories app.

    Go into your Steam settings, go to Controller, and ensure 'Enable Steam Input for Xbox controllers' is enabled. From there, it should work in almost any game.
