Issue

I just bought a new Xbox controller from Staples. I just registered it on Xbox.com.

My warranty shows as half way through it’s warranty. How do I update for a full warranty period?

new controller is the better way. if controller's broken any attempts to fix it can destroy it completely. repair can be a half of original controller's price and no warranty of a properly work.

Half the time the issue is the 3.5 MM jack on the controller not properly reading the jack for your headset. Trust. If you purchased you xbox in June and it was brand new it should be in warranty and they can replace that controller for you.
