  1. New Xbox Controller Idea, Force Feedback Controller.

If you’re like me, you love racing games but can’t justify spending hundreds of dollars on a full wheel setup just to get proper immersion. Wheels are awesome, but they’re expensive, bulky, and not practical for everyone. So here’s an idea for Xbox: I think it would be amazing to have a dedicated Xbox racing controller that keeps the standard controller form factor, but adds force feedback (FFB) to the joysticks and triggers. Imagine: Resistance in the left stick when turning at high speed The stick fighting back when you lose traction or understeer Triggers that push back differently under hard braking, wheel lockup, or ABS Subtle vibration or resistance changes based on road surface, curbs, or collisions This would bridge the gap between a regular controller and a full racing wheel: Way cheaper than a wheel No desk or mounting required Plug-and-play like a normal controller Perfect for players who want more immersion without going all-in on sim hardware Racing games already simulate all this data tires, grip, suspension, braking this controller would finally let players feel it without needing a wheel. I think this could be huge for games like Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, F1, Assetto Corsa, and more, especially for console players who mostly use controllers. Curious what others think would you use a force-feedback racing controller instead of a wheel?

logitech g27 wheel comparbility with xbox one

Cronus Max is currently working on current-gen Fanatec wheel support on XBox One with their USB controller adapter. Whether they can pull it off or not, particularly with proper force feedback effects, is debatable. One Cronus Max user has already figured
out how to use the Microsoft Force Feedback wheel with the XBox One, but without force feedback. No force feedback would be a deal breaker for me. I think the guy who got it to work with the Microsoft Force Feedback wheel (to the extent he has) did so by
making the Xbox One read the wheel as a controller. He had to make some edits to an interface Macro to get the linearity and deadzones in a region that felt right with the wheel.

    It's 2013 MS, not 2004

I actually hope they release a wired controller with a little more force feedback.

    Controller: X360 VS X1

I actually liked the look of the new controller, I really like the 360's controller and this one looks better, plus some of those force feedback features sounded cool. Plus you'll get one with the both so it's not a major problem is it?

My (1) controller is now syncing as (2)

Are you getting this as a recurring problem or do you mean that you turned your controller on while the force feedback wheel was assigned to 1?

    -

If you simply mean you turned your controller on while the force feedback wheel was also on the only way to get the controller back to player 1 is to turn off your console, no wires need to be removed. Once a controller has been assigned a player number,
it keeps it until the console is powered off.
