    New X box controller is drifting


    Day two of three brand new Xbox one X controllers are having stick drift problems. Any suggestions or recommendations to fix the problem? All 3 brand new controllers have exact issue of stick drift. Should I keep returning to store and keep replacing until I find one that works properly? All were updated as soon as connected with Xbox. Didn't help with the stick drift.

    Here are some steps you could take to fix this problem:

    Calibrate your controller: You can try calibrating your controller by going to the Settings menu on your Xbox One, selecting Devices & Accessories, and then selecting Calibrate Controller.

    Update driver: Make sure your driver is updated. You can do this by opening the Xbox Accessories app, connecting the Xbox Wireless Controller with a USB cable, or connecting the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. When the controller connects, you'll see the Update Required message if an update is required. Install the update

    Controller Cleaning: Use compressed or pressurized air to clean around the joysticks and buttons on the controller

    Xbox series X controller keeps drifting up

    I just got a Xbox controller for Christmas. And as soon as I connected it to my Xbox it had drift on the right joystick. I opened the controller right from the box and didn’t get any dust of anything like that near it but still it drifts. I wanted a new Xbox controller because my old controller had drift. Crazy how out of the box it already has drift.

    No drift on any of my X Box One controllers, including the one with over 3,000 hours of use; wish I had that good luck with the 360 controllers.

    Right stick drifting

    Hm, with an old controller (came with Xbox one x) I never had a drift issue. I noticed it with a new one. But just slightly to the east and only in Borderlands 3. But, there is a problem, yes. So, I went back to the old one and no problems. (2 years old).
    Not just the box, controllers, in general, are in bad shape all around. I hope that will be fixed with the new generation.
