  1. New way of uploading captured video clips to the network/cloud on Xbox NOT WELL IMPLEMENTED

Previously, uploading videos to the cloud only occupied 1/3 of the screen, and once you confirm your upload, you get notified that your video is being uploaded, and there, you can either upload a new video again, or simply go back to playing. You’ll then receive a second notification after upload is completed.

I recently started noticing that to upload a video, you are completely taken off your gaming screen, and fully greeted with a progress bar you can’t hide in the background till the upload process is over!

And for some weird reasons, it logs me out of my current game, which I need to close and restart again!!!

I believe it may be an oversight…kindly review this problem and correct it … thank You

Anyway to keep shared screenshots and videos visible after deleting from xbox network

    I'm Samy an independent advisor

    How are you?

You can upload up to 10 GB of captures to the Xbox network. Once you reach those limits, you’ll need to delete existing captures to upload new ones.

Any game clip or screenshot uploaded to the Xbox network that gets no views in 30 days will be deleted. Viewing it yourself counts as a view and saves a capture from deletion.

Captures that don't get uploaded to the Xbox network will remain on the console they were recorded on.

You can also store your screenshots and videos on your PC, OneDrive, and your phone.

try re-upload them to OneDrive. if that does not work, check that your Xbox cloud storage for clips and videos is not full,
also delete the old captures that you don't want anymore.

    Xbox clips have disappeared

    Hi MackNewman23,

Have you tried doing the following

Manage your game clips on Xbox One

When you make game clips using the Xbox One capturing feature, you can use the Upload Studio app to view and edit them. You can work from game clips you’ve captured, or you can record video or audio commentary about your clips using your Kinect sensor.

Note Upload Studio is not installed to your Xbox One console by default. You can download it for free from the
    Microsoft Store
    .

To find and edit your clips:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then go to Broadcast & capture.
    2. Select Recent captures. If your clip isn’t a recent one, select See All.
    3. Select the clip that you want to edit, and then select Edit in Upload Studio.
    4. If Upload Studio is already installed, it will open to your clip and you can begin editing. See Editing videos with Upload Studio to learn how
      to edit your videos.
Here’s another way to find your clips:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Go to Broadcast & capture, and then select Capture > Manage Captures.
    3. The default filter shows everything already published on Xbox Live.
    4. To see clips you’ve captured but not yet uploaded, select the filter On Xbox Live and choose On this Xbox.

How do I upload my old captures to my OneDrive

Hi, Zack. I’m Arturo, and I’ll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

Captures on the Xbox network are the ones that will be deleted after 90 days once January 2024 arrives.

You can upload the captures on the Xbox network by opening the clip > press A on the share button > press A once you highlight the OneDrive option.

Another way to upload the captures to OneDrive is highlight your capture > highlight “upload to OneDrive” > Press A.

How do I get my expired captures back?

Unfortunately captures are automatically deleted from the Xbox network after 90 days now. You could try opening the Captures app and selecting "On this Xbox console" from the drop-down list at the upper-left, as clips are not automatically deleted from the console itself after 90 days, although they do get deleted from there over time as you capture new clips and screenshots. It's worth checking though.

What I do is set the console to automatically upload my captures to both the Xbox network and OneDrive, as they are not automatically deleted from OneDrive and it makes it easy to save any ones that I want to keep on my PC. Unfortunately, you can't share clips uploaded to OneDrive on your profile or via an Xbox message, which is why I upload to both.

But yeah, if your missing clips are not on the console itself and you only uploaded them to the Xbox network, they are gone for good I'm afraid.
