new update - no party notifications

I just received the new xbox one update yesterday. I was hosting a party last night while playing Destiny 2. I invited a few friends and a few joined seeing that it was open. I didn't get a single on screen notification or audible sound that anyone joined
the party. I didn't know anyone was there until they spoke.

I checked the settings. And the party notification box is checked.

Seems a bit wonky. That is about as technical of a description as I can give. Hope this gets works out.

Notifications not working.

I'm going to keep it quick and simple - my xbox one literally gives no notifications for like new messages, game/party invoices or friends online. However I am getting notifications for clip recorded, joining a party (actually joining it or friends joining
my party).

Side note, my smartglass app on my iPhone is receiving notifications for new messages.

 

XBOX ONE NOTIFICATION ISSUE

I am in in the same boat as you, but with a different notification bug. Anytime I receive a message, game download update, party invite, or achievement there would be no pop-up notifications and they won't even show in the notification bar. I have tried
every suggested fix with no luck and I have been dealing with this for over six months now. The only thing I have learn about this issue is that the NXOE title update is to be blamed. Before the NXOE, all the notification were running smoothly until that update
srcewed everything up.

 

I have the same issue. Since installing the latest dashboard I have not received a single notification when someone joins my party, or when I receive a new message.

Someone started a thread about it on Reddit and got a response from a member of the dev team: -

 

This has supposedly been fixed, along with a bunch of other stuff, in an update that's available for people in the preview program (alpha ring) now.

So, if you're in the alpha ring, check for updates and you should see it there ready to install.

If you're not in the alpha ring, or you're not in the preview program at all, I expect they'll roll out an update with a bunch of fixes in it to the public fairly soon.
