    New update broke both my controllers


    I have a series s and the two Xbox controllers I own are now broken. I updated one of the controllers successfully and kept it turned on and placed it to the side. So far, so good, I then began updating my other controllers which at about 30% through the controller turns off on its own. I then was curious so I turned off the 1st controller, the one that actually finished the update, and wouldn't you believe it, it didn't turn back on. Since then, I have tried legit everything I can to remedy it. No, it's not batteries, no the cable doesn't work, no resetting everything doesn't work. If its online I tried it. Pretty awesome the firmware update cooked my controllers that are out of warranty now and I highly doubt Microsoft is going to be a "good sport" about it.

    The new update on windows broke all of my controllers. I've been going through them without having any success in getting them to work properly.

    Sorry to hear about the issue with the controller. It sounds like the controller failed on the update, so we'd suggest trying to update it again. If that fails we'd suggest exchanging it for a new one at the retailer to get you back in the game quickly.

    My Day One broke and then the headset a week later. Sent back controller which they lost for 2 months. Now both the replacement controller and headset are dead. Will be jumping ship to PS4.
