New to Xbox store benifits of pre ordering

I have downloaded three games, Far Cry 4, Assassins Creed and Gears of war, but what happens if you pre order a game ?

Does it take payment straight away, and what are the benifits of pre ordering ?

I was looking at the new Dues Ex game, buts its not due until August

It does take the money straight away.

Only real benefits i can think off are any extra stuff you get from pre-ordering,the game is already downloaded & you get to play it midnight on the day of release

So long story short, absoluty no benifit at all for me to pay and pre order this game, sorta of wish I knew that before oh well you live and learn

So the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R was a pre-order bonus for
pre-ordering from the Microsoft Store. If you pre-ordered from the Xbox Store, you should have received the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C 63 S Coupe.

Did you receive a Mercedes-Benz pre-order bonus via Xbox Live Message? If so, that would be your pre-order bonus.

As per the FAQ.

When will I receive my Xbox Game Pass code?

Amazon: new customers will receive their code via e-mail within 48 hours following their pre-order transaction.

Best Buy: new customers will receive their code at time of pre-order (in-store) or via e-mail following their online pre-order transaction.

Microsoft Store: new customers will receive their code via email up to 10 days after in-store preorder date.

Microsoft Store Online: new customers will receive their code via the Xbox Messaging Center in weekly batches sent on Tuesdays (1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5). Please note that customers who pre-order during the last few days of the offer during the period
from 1/28 through 1/31 will not receive their Xbox Game Pass code until after Tom Clancy's The Division leaves the Xbox Game Pass catalog.

Qualifying customers at participating accounts who pre-ordered prior to January 8th, 2019 will receive their code via e-mail by January 15th. If you have not received your code by January 15th please contact the retailer you pre-ordered at for assistance.
