    New to Fallout NV. Could use some pointers.


    I've played Fallout 3 to the fullest extent and loved it, figure I give NV a try. Was hoping some of you fallout veterans can give me some tips as to how to effectively set up a character. I like to snipe and use vats extensively. In FO 3 setting intelligence
    to 9 and acquiring the bobble head early was a good way to maximize skill points. Is there anything of that nature in New Vegas? Any tips or suggestions for perks, traits, or assigning specials would be greatly appreciated.

    You could also be a cannibal in Fallout 3 and NV. In fact you could pick it as a perk.

    well... apparently the level cap in the ultimate edition is 50... so setting intelligence to nine is a bit counter productive.. anyone know the lowest intelligence stat to acquire while still maximizing most if not all skills? anybody even still play this...?

    Why No Hardcore Mode?

    Kind of the reason why is simple. While all Fallout, Skyrim and Oblivion are Developed by Bethesda, Fallout New Vegas was Developed by Obsidian with the Tools used and given by Bethesda. Most the "ideas" from Fallout NV (such
    as HC) came from PC Mods from Fallout/ Oblivion and were hence "ported" to the Production of Fallout NV by Obsidian.

    You do not (and probably won't) see a Hardcore Mode in Skyrim as long as Bethesda continues to Develop either DLC or Elder Scrolls Games. My guess would be if Obsidian Developed a "Skyrim" of their own, it would have a Hardcore Mode as well.

    I myself very much enjoyed my HC play-through on Fallout NV and would have loved to see the same immersion in Skyrim.
