New Series X will not show the invite menu. Notifications work but the menu is gone.

This is a brand new Xbox Series X. When I am invited to a game or party I receive the typical on screen notification on my Xbox but I am not able to join on the “Parties and chats” menu. The invite is simply not there.

If I quickly press the Xbox home button when the notification appears I am able to join the party/game but if I am not quick enough that invite is gone forever.

My NAT type is open, all settings are the same as my old Xbox One which had a functional invite system. I have removed my profile, restarted the console, nothing worked.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Everywhere (including all games even series x games show the new gamertag but in parties/chat, on the homescreen, in the xbox app, and in the system menus show the old one.

I can’t find that graphics menu on my Xbox series x? Can you show me where that menu is to fix those graphics?

just a quick update, I realized after some testing with a buddy that I only receive invitations if my computer that runs windows 10 is turned on. I've gone through the notifications menu in the Xbox app and everything. I cannot receive invitations so long
as my computer is turned off. How is this even an issue

Hi Chris, I appreciate your response but the issue is not the notification banners they still pop up as usual. The problem is that the missed notifications are not appearing in the invitations section of the home menu
