    Recently, Microsoft released a new Minecraft offer, in which if you had a Java edition of Minecraft, you would get Windows 10 edition, and vice versa. I have the Windows 10 edition on my computer, but I've never felt the need to sign in with my Microsoft Account. After I read the offer, I went to sign in with my Microsoft Account, and after I signed in, proving I had Windows 10 edition, I went to redeem the offer. In the website, it says to login with your Microsoft Account, which would prove you had Windows 10 edition, and then download a two-in-one launcher for Windows 10 edition and Java edition, with you logging in and proving that you owned one version, which would make the two-in-one launcher free instead of the $29.99 that would be used to purchase it.

    After I logged in to my Microsoft account on my Windows 10 edition of Minecraft, I tried to redeem the offer. The offer is supposed to say Get, making the offer free instead of charging me, but it doesn't seem to be changing to Get, it just keeps staying on $29.99? Can anyone help me?

    This offer is available if you own Minecraft Java or Minecraft for Windows. This gives you the other version for free. So if you own Java Edition, you get Minecraft for Windows (and vice-versa).

    Now if you own only Minecraft Bedrock for other platforms than PC (Xbox, Nintendo, Playstation) you will not be able to get Java.

    Did you purchase Minecraft for Windows or the Minecraft Bedrock version for console or mobile?

    I ask because only users that purchased Minecraft for Windows are eligible to redeem the Java Edition for free (and vice-versa). The Minecraft Bedrock for other platforms (like console or mobile) is not eligible for this offer.

    Would you please see if your purchase for Minecraft for Windows is showing as completed on your order history? Can you share a screenshot of it?

    If it is showing as completed (and it is the Minecraft for Windows, not the Xbox Bedrock version), please try to sign in and out of the Microsoft Store and the Xbox App to see if it syncs with your account again.

    Try to get the offer by the Microsoft Store and see if it still shows you to "Buy" it instead of "Get" it.

    Hi, the offer is only buy the java edition get the Windows 10 version free. It doesn't work the other way. If you want the java edition, you will have to pay for it.

    Yes, you will need to buy Minecraft for the other platform. All Minecraft products/purchases are platform specific. If you purchased Minecraft for Windows or Java Edition, they will only work on PC and will not give you the other versions of Minecraft. And so on. So if you purchased Minecraft for mobile, the PC or console version will need to be purchased if you want to play on them.

    There is an offer running for Minecraft that people who purchased Minecraft for Windows will receive the Java Edition for free (and vice-versa). But it only applies for these two versions that are for computer.
