New laptop (Windows 11) and unwanted XBox pop-up on Start up.

That is the exact error, I have it popping up too. I'm using a Windows 8 laptop

Hi, nope. Old computer was a laptop running Windows 10. This is a new computer running Windows 11. Fresh install, nothing moved from the laptop to the computer. Just logged in to Microsoft to set up the PC, download office, and then opened the xbox app. Oked all logins from the authenticator on my phone. Tried to install Forza, waited a year and a day, and now receiving that error message.

Does it need to be uninstalled from my laptop?

I have the same problem with MCC anti cheat coming up and not letting me play. I have a new lap top running windows 11. I also had this problem on another new laptop running windows 10, I am not able to play any of the multiplayer games in the Mcc. I am able to play the single player maps but when it comes to multiplayer I cannot play.

I was able to play at one time on windows 10 with my old laptop but i did not have steam downloaded or running on my laptop. This one and my last laptop had steam downloaded with games open but they were closed at the time of downloading and trying to play the game.

There are two options when you start the Mcc in multiplayer one to play the second to play with anti cheat running, i have tried both and they do not let me the anti cheat keeps coming up I am wondering if anyone else also has two options to pick from? Is Mcc the only halo game that this comes up on, or does it also come up on all the halo games?

If I was to delete steam would the problem, go away?

In both cases i have deleted the Mcc and have not reinstall it back to my laptop. With my new laptop I was surprised to see the error again.

I also have the Xbox pass running windows 11 the laptop is only 3 weeks old

I would appreciate any help someone can give me to help solve this problem without deleting steam and the games I have on it.

I resolved this issue by performing an in-place upgrade of Windows 11, which is in other words a Windows reinstall without removing any files or apps. I had also purchased a Lenovo laptop (the Slim Pro 7) recently and ran into this same problem. After trying pretty much everything suggested on this thread and others I found around the web, this is what finally worked.

Download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from this site and run it.

After it's done reinstalling, try installing the Gaming Services app again from the Xbox App. I wonder if Lenovo has been shipping their laptops with corrupted Windows installations, or perhaps it is because I restored from another PC's OneDrive backup when I first started up this PC, instead of just setting it up as a brand new one.
