New Lag/Freezes Since XBox Fitness Update

same here, seems to be related to challenges mid workout.

the first 15-20 mins I get no issues, 5 stars/green bars, then get a challenge come up and it continues to play the video feed at normal rate but the tracking colour bars, score and timer all lag.

really hope this gets sorted asap

 

Usually what I do now ( which is so lame ) is only do the 10 min workouts. Once it's over I quit the app completely, restart it, and do another 10 minute workout. I do that over and over until I got a good 40 mins in. So far it will not lag. But it
is so lame to do it that way. If they don't fix it soon I think I'll start to look for something else....

 

Yep need 1 more challenge to complete all challenges for a workout and I need 5 star 75% of the 1st and last drill the 1st isn't a problem but apparently I'm getting 1 star on the end drills even though it's at 5 stars the whole time wow this is a joke,
why change something that was fine and ruin if for everyone with that update?

 

I thought they might of fixed the problem as yesterday it seemed to work fine. But today when I went to do my workout, it was a absolute mess. I unplugged the Xbox from the wall and waited a few seconds and plugged it back in and it appeared to be working
OK. Then about 20 minutes in it started to lag again, but I was able to finish, but fp points were low because of it. This appears to be a memory problem that they caused by to update. They should roll it back or fix it. They have had plenty of time to
do so.

[/quote]As frustrating as it is, it is not like they make a change just for fun. Last update was to fix the CDN errors a lot of people had. Rolling back the update may fix the lag, but re-introduce the CDN errors. I'd rather see them take a few more days
to make an update where both issues are fixed, than switching back and forth from one bug to the other.

I know they are working on an update, hopefully it will be released in the next few days.

 

I think Sionetix is right - the update was probably to correct the CDN errors which I personally wasn't getting very often (maybe twice in the two years I've had my XB1).

Someone told me Saturday night that it was fixed for them but when I tried an Insanity yesterday, it seemed to run ok until about 25 minutes in and then back came the delays and my points were a good 11,000 less than I was aiming for.

It worked for me today, too. Did the update and made it through P90 with no problems.

 

Same issue here. Seems to be worse if you come back after suspending xbox fitness (when it doesnt crash when you come back). almost impossible to navigate and avatar is delayed and low fps. Have to start another app and restart xbox fitness.

Also just had crash to home after finishing a workout but before getting scores. This has infrequently happened since launch.

Xbox fitness always has always bad kinect menu support - I actually used kinect to navigate to settings to lower my floor(in vain) and was surprised by how MUCH better kinect is on the xbox ui.

There is still such great potential in xbox fitness but it seems to need some fundamental overhaul to make it less vulnerable to lag, bad performance, initial load times and stability.

 

I noticed this last week as well. Although, when I was working out this morning I noticed it was a little better. But at this point I'm not sure if that was just my tired & unobservant brain (4th of July with a 16-month-old, urgh) or if it was an actual
improvement, haha.
