New Interface/UI for Xbox 'Record That' Function is Terrible

Whoever changed the 'record that' feature in the Xbox UI is in the doghouse since the new update. Used to, we could double-tap the center Xbox button and choose from different options to record something how far back, right away. Now, we have to scroll thru
like 3 steps to even get there. Games go by very fast, and things I want to record need to be set to record in the last 15 seconds quickly, not spend 15 seconds trying to find it in menus and then need to record the last 30 seconds because the moment had passed.
I'm not talking about setting the 'record that' to a default time, because the time far back I want to record changes. I need to be able to immediately see a 'record that' selection of how-many-seconds right away, so I can choose immediately. Whoever made
it so now I need to choose capture options, and then choose a "record from 15s to 5m" menu, and THEN choose which one, has clearly never played games where quick button action is needed. I don't need to be fumbling thru menus to record something, because
I need to get back to the game quickly. Don't tell me to just change the default record-that setting to a longer setting -- JUST CHANGE IT BACK TO WHAT IT WAS, WHEN IT WORKED JUST FINE.

Xeno the 360 UI and the X1 UI is a totally different beast. You had to exit one function to access another. The X1 interfaced is designed to keep everything running as well as being able to snap and overlay other apps at the same time. So the home Screen
on the new interface will for sure operate like you currently do on 360,its all the new stuff that requires a voice command to get to would need sub menus or multiple button presses to access if at all. Im not even going to use the HDMI in.This is just the
basic UI im talking about. I can see people getting frustrated with it once the K2 is unplugged.But if people like that level of frustration then good for them.

You can choose to ignore the new touch interface on Windows 8 and purely use the Windows 7 UI.

I honestly don't know where this myth came from that you are stuck with this new touch UI?

 

I just tried doing the Looking For Group function also, and there are way too many menus to try to get into that, also. Who put so many needless miniature menus to get to it? Why not just click the LFG text in the sidebar menu, and just go there straight
away?
