NEW HEADSET CAUSING FRIENDS TO HEAR MY GAME AND THEIR SELVES.

So i recently bought a new headset from game stop (turtle beach XO threes) and when i went to use it. i noticed my friends could hear my game and themselves as if they are wearing my headset. i tried everything i could to get it to work properly (checked
settings, switched controllers, restarted xbox, etc.) and i even went and returned it and replaced it only to have the same problem. i have no idea what to do.

How do I use two headsets on one console?

My two children want to use a headset each so they can talk and hear their friends whilst playing games in a party.Only the player one headset seems to work even though they are both plugged in.I have one xbox live gold membership.

 

XB1 Chat Adapter Problem

Hey,

Quite while back , I bought the headset adapter for my XB1. I use the headset adapter with a Panasonic cell-phone headset (as it's more comfortable than the XB headset). The headset was working fine until around 3 weeks ago.

At this time, I was able to hear my friends, but they were unable to hear me. The problem was with the 2.5<->3.5 adapter wire. I believe it was a problem with one of the rings on the cable. Anyways, once I discovered that that was the problem, I grabbed
another one of the cables that I had lying around (another 2.5<->3.5 - 3-ring cable).

I then was able to hear my friends, and they were able to hear me again....so that problem was solved.

Then, the next day, my friends pointed out that they could hear an echo on their end. In trying to figure out what was causing the problem, I've tried multiple headsets, multiple controllers, multiple 2.5<->3.5 adapters. None of them seem to be the problem.
The problem seems to be with the chat adapter.

My chat adapter seems to be picking up incoming audio and outputing along with my voice. I determined that this was the problem when I increased the game audio (with the chat adapter), and my friends said they could hear the echo AND they could hear my game
audio.

So, my question is:

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Notes:

- This is on XB1

- I'm part of the dashboard preview program

- I have updated my controller

- I have tested this with the official hardware, and with my personal headset/wires
