New Gamer tag System

I really do not like the numbers after my name and when I changed my account name it said NOWHERE that there would be numbers after it so I would like for my gamertag to be switched back to Twitch Horcruxi or just take the numbers out of this one here
because the numbers show up in the games I play too so it annoys me a ton.

The only way to have the tag without the suffix is to change it to a tag that nobody else has.

Ok but they didn't tell me when I changed it it would have numbers they should say that when it happens.

It really is irrelevant if the system says the gamer tag is unavailable then you won't be able to use it until the system once again makes it available. You will need to keep checking or simply decide on a different tag. Good luck with choosing your new
tag.

Gamer Tags aren't always visible when you search for them for various reasons. Also, when you change a Gamer Tag it's not automatically freed up. The suffix on your chosen Gamer Tag indicates that it is being used some where already. You can learn more about

Seems like this has been answered! The reason you're getting "GameTag#123" is because there is already accounts with that gamer tag. The new system allows everyone to essentially have the same gamer tag with the exception of the numbers beside it. The
number font appears smaller then the tag font when viewed by other players!
