    New disk won't install on new console


    I have a brand new Xbox One S and a brand new disk copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 (purchased together at the same time) and the installation stops at 2.9% every single time. Ive tried clearing the saved games and going offline like all the forum articles
    say to do and it still quits at 2.9%. This is literally the first game this console has seen so there are no saved games and I'm using a new account. I decided to try and install my Gta V disk and it installed just fine. Why won't RDR2 install!!??

    Looks like a faulty disk, would go back to the store and let them check it out or try that disk on a different Xbox.

    Xbox one S blu ray player problem

    I have the same problem since the last xbox one update. DVD movie and Xbox 360 disks won't work, only bluray disk. I can't install new retrocompatibility games or play with current installed games with disk. Maybe, something wrong with an update.

    No, you can't move an installed game from one console to another. They are encoded for the original console.

    You'd have to borrow or rent another, readable copy to do the installation on on the new console, if your unreadable disk is readable enough to work with an installed image.

    I just did a system reset and it's now installing the game from the disk :)
