    I got a new controller recently for Xbox and my friends have said that my mic now sounds roboticly in Xbox party on my old controller my mic sounds fine is there anything I can do to fix this

    what controller you using wired or wireless? if it works on the other controller use it, the new controller you got take it back and get a new one and say to them its not working for the mic. so if that helps you out buddy, or see if any stuff is in controller

    I've just spoken to an excelllent support agent who actually sounds human and doesn't feel robotic, and who could actually improvise and adapt to the problem, and he explains how the rings in the controller port can malfunction in such a way that the 'audio
    in' part can be broken, which basically means that the headset will work but the mic won't. That's what he thinks is most likely, and if not then it could be the console, or even more unlikely, the mic, and he explained how it all worked. So I guess I've got
    to go and buy a new controller now, and if that doesn't work then i've got to pay for a repair. he said there is only a very small chance it could be related to the OS but just in case I will check for people with the same problem in the forums.

    Strange buzzing noise when speaking and now without speaking through my headset, literally in tears right now as i have had a few issues which i will go in depth with below.

    Yeah im really hoping so, but I've gon through 3 mics. To be fair I have a new controller now, so maby with a new mic it will be ok.
