Unfortunately, that is not listed on the compatible controller for Smart TV Xbox app. Please refer to the compatible controllers on this link: Connect a controller to your smart TV | Xbox Support.

Does it disconnect in games if you use a uSB cable to connect controller to console?

Try usb (play charge) cable and let us know results.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your new Xbox controller with your external adapter.

To better assist you with your concern, we will ask for few things:

• How far are you from the Bluetooth adapter? Are there objects in the way between the adapter and the controller?
  
• Do you have these same issues if you connect to the PC through Bluetooth, without using the external adapter?
  
• Does the same issue occur if you plug the controller directly to the PC using a supported USB cable?
  

I am unsure if the issue is truly coming from the controller itself, or the external adapter is not fully compatible.

Things to keep in mind:

• Bluetooth requires a PC running the latest Windows update. About Windows updates
  
• For best performance, update your controller. Update your Xbox Wireless Controller
  
• The Xbox Wireless Controller can connect via Bluetooth to many PCs, tablets, laptops, and VR/AR headsets. However, reliability is dependent on the device’s Bluetooth card and experiences may vary.
