New Browse for Help Quest not working

It's kind of hard to complain about a game giving us so much for the money! You are right, it's a huge game, with quests unlocking quests unlocking quests. Even though it seems overwhelming at first, it can be handled methodically. The excellent menu feature
lists open and active quests at the top, and completed quests at the bottom. I find it helpful to limit the number of open quests to about 10. I work that down a little before adding any new ones. The other good news is that sequence doesn't seem to matter.
There's no hurry to complete any given quest, main or otherwise.

have you downloaded the new patches yet?

my first playthru stalled because of a lot of broken quests. I downloaded the most recent patch and started a new playthru - those quests work now. the patch doesn't fix any broken quests in an active game. You would have to star anew.

I rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I'm guessing you're new the Rewards app on Xbox. It's been like this ever since they started the quests. Some are instant updated and some don't update at all. What does work 100% is contacting
Microsoft Rewards Support and they can help you with the quests that don't update.

I have visited Riften multiple times before finishing the main quest "Diplomatic Immunity" and I never got this bug that breaks the quest. Since this a main quest, I would imagine it would be among the first quest bugs to be fixed. The good news is that
Bethseda will be rolling out patches in January to fix broken quests. The bad news is that you will have to wait a few more weeks. Patch 1.4 is already being worked, but it was not stated what will be fixed in it. It could fix more general bugs or it could
be the first quest fixing patch. We'll have to wait and see.
