new achievements

noticed there are now 20 achievments. none of the newer ones are unlocking..... Its destroying my completion...

New achievements?

It's just the achievements for the first 2 DLC packs (Broken Eagle and Fallen Angel). Unfortunately there's only 90 gamerscore for each DLC pack, 10 per achievement.

 

Seconded on this. I've done some of the Daily Challenges - no unlocking.

I even went back and tried adventure mode from Level 1... And again, not unlocking.

 

Yep count me in. New achievements are always nice...except when they're broken. Not unlocking for me.

The new Minesweeper achievements aren't unlocking when I meet the conditions described in the achievements. Details below.

I successfully completed all 3 daily challenges for today and show 600 Coins in the January progress bar. However, neither the Came to Play nor the Came to Win achievements unlocked.

I also reached the exit to Level 1 in Adventure mode, and now start on Level 2. However, the First Rung of the Ladder achievement has not unlocked for my profile.

Minesweeper shows that my correct Xbox Live account, , was signed in when I met the conditions described above. When I completed a daily challenge, a banner showed my avatar with some text and a "Collect Reward" button.

 

Same as the post above really. If you cant fix this can you please remove the game from my gamertag? Is just an eye sore

 

I downloaded the game for the first time on this PC today, and did not see an update until following the directions here:

Only downloading the update did not fix the problem. I had to uninstall the game, re-download it, and then re-download the update. Now the achievements unlock for me.

I am not sure why the update does not appear unless I explicitly check for updates. I also don't know why an update is required immediately after downloading the game.

I hope this solution resolves the achievement issue for others.

 

Mine updated automatically. However, it's a crapshoot what achievements work and what don't. The Flag Tapper, 1-2-2-1 and 1-2-1 achievements all won't unlock, but the ones for playing and beating my first daily challenge did.

 

1-2-2-1 and 1-2-1 achievements are reported as glitchy by many trueachievement users if you already have them unlocked on Windows Phone.

The new achievements are not working for me either. I tried Ironspleen's process of uninstalling then reinstalling but it did not fix my problem. Hope this gets a quick fix soon.

 

This could be a Windows 8.0 vs 8.1 issue.

I was only able to update to version 1.8.0.31029 of Minesweeper on Windows 8.0, and none of the new achievements unlocked, despite uninstalling/reinstalling/updating and repeatedly starting Adventure over at Level 1.

I'm now on Windows 8.1 (possibly only temporarily if I run into the issues I did in the past with it), was able to update to version 2.1.1312.2409 (I didn't check to see what the base version of Minesweeper for Windows 8.1 was before updating), and the new
achievements are now unlocking for me.

 

Just want to say I'm one more with the same problem. I hope somebody over at Microsoft is actually paying attention to this thread. Stop assuming it's user related, acknowledge the problem and please, fix it.

PS: I'm not a completionist, but this is messing with my OCD.

 

Sorry we hadn't posted in the thread before. The team was made aware of this a few weeks ago. I'm trying to find out where things stand now, and I'll update you here. Thanks for being patient
