Never received Credit to "Xbox Live Rewards" account for Battlefield 1 pre-order back in ...

xbox live rewards deposits credits into your xbox live rewards account based on a variety of activities such as purchases through MS. I got 15,000 credits in march 2016 for buying the division. I bought battlefield 1 in oct 2016 and never got the reward.

There was no offer to receive credits for preordering Battlefield digitally in October. That offer ended in September. There was a pre-order offer running in October, but it was for pre-ordering physical discs from microsoftstore.com.

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

-or-

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

The pre-order offer you refer to is the Games on Demand offer. However, that offer requires the pre-order purchase of three eligible titles during the offer period in order to complete the offer and receive the Credits. Since you only had 1 out of 3 purchases,
you did not complete that offer.

You received the rewards credits because you are a rewards member. While the promotion is running, you will receive those credits instead of the gift card. You can only use the credits to make purchases from the Xbox Live store (digital purchases)

The offer is only valid on up to 3 pre-orders. So if you've pre-ordered anything else, you will most likely get the credits again. The only way to ensure you won't receive the credits, is to make the purchase using an email address that is not attached to
your Rewards account.

You received both VIP progress and Credit for these purchases with the exception of Battlefield 1, which was a pre-order, and therefore not eligible for VIP.
