Never got my Star in My Rewards

On February 2, I received an email from Xbox Live Rewards that said I got close to earning a star in 2016, and that if I spent $50 in the Xbox store by February 28, I would get that star.

On February 17 I got an email from *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** that said I successfully renewed my 12 month Gold membership.

I have still not received that star. I spoke with Austin from your customer service phone line, and he opened support case SRX1377699139ID. He said he didn't know much about the rewards program, but suggested I post here. I first posted in the Discussion section
and there is a response but the post is locked so I can't see it. I called customer service back and the woman told me to post in the Support section. So here we are.

I have been an Xbox customer since the original, and was even one of the beta testers on Xbox Live way back then (still have the USB keychain they gave us). What needs to be done to get that rewards star the email promised? I have the emails mentioned
above if you need them as proof. Please help!!!

Never got my rewards.

I bought the 10$ gift card with rewards points and never got an email for it. Was never added to my account either, even though it still took the 7500 from me. I don't have a conformation order but I'm sure you can see that I had over 8000 points yesterday
and since last night I have less than 2000.

 

Subscriptions do not count towards VIP. So if that was your only purchase, it would not have counted towards your progress.

 

nothing in the email says subscriptions don't count. Not even the fine print. It says spend $50 before the 28th in the store, which I did.

 

Since it was for VIP status, it would be the same terms and conditions as usual.

Subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP, and therefore not eligible for the VIP Boost offer. This is mentioned in both our MyVIP FAQ:
