never ending login x box app and xbox store. ( PC )

You shared that it continuously asks for your credentials. Is there any error message that you can share?

If running the tool did not work on your situation, delete all Xbox and Microsoft from your credentials manager. There is a high possibility that your previous credentials are saved in your cache and being used automatically.

Credential Manager lets you view and delete your saved credentials for signing in to websites, connected applications, and networks.

To open Credential Manager, type credential manager in the search box on the taskbar and select Credential Manager Control panel.

Select Web Credentials and Windows Credentials then delete all Xbox and Microsoft that you will see.

Things I've tried:

Windows updated.

XBOX app reinstalled.

PC restarted.

Same login in MS Store and XBOX PC app.

If I believed the X Box to be "Garbage", it would be taken back to the store or thrown away; never to be spoken of again. I bought a Nintendo Switch shortly after launch. Had it for seven days and realized it was not to my liking. Took it back to the store...
end of story.

Indeed, a stranger game for pc, but for some reason in the x box store...

I'm having the exact same issue.

I have purchased the Microsoft Java version and I normally access it through the store app.

It was working fine 2 weeks ago, then we went on vacation and I came back.

I opened the app and It asked me to log in for the first time in a long time, so I clicked the Microsoft login but.

It continued to load infinitely, and never resolved the login process. There was no pop-up in the background telling me to log into Microsoft nothing.

I checked to make sure I was logged in to the same account on both Microsoft store and Xbox game thing, nothing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox game bar, the Xbox app, and the Minecraft application.

I can log into a Mojang account, It's just the Minecraft account refuses to resolve the login!

I haven't been able to fix this. I've tried turning off and on Xbox and gaming services in the background and restarting my PC three times.

I am convinced there is an issue on Microsoft's end, in communicating with the user login database. I'm not sure what else I could try on my end.
