Networking issues with att hotspot.

im in need of some help. I live where my only internet option is my phone. I use my xbox to connect to the hotspot to game on and watch Netflix/Amazon prime. This has worked ok for years but just recently I get a error every time I try to watch a movie
or login to a game. When I run a speed test the download and upload are fine but the Ping is 0 every time. I can still send messages over Xbox live and I can still play Fortnite but that's about it. I took my xbox to my sisters where she has charter and everything
worked fine so I know it's connected to the att hotspot but I can watch Netflix on my iPad while connected to the hotspot but not my xbox. I can't figure it out. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Its att, i verified with connecting at a friends house with no issues, i also purchased a new hotspot with no help before i did that. Att added another block because im getting a double NAT with the new hotspot by itself, and the upnp with it in ip passthrough.
They dont fix soon ill be switching providers after 20 years of being with them.

I agree with switching, ive seen a slew of posts already for att hotspot issues that just started this past week. Att is no help theyll just tell you they dont support upnp even though it hasnt been an issue for years connecting, good luck!

What is the error message that you are receiving?

Also, what troubleshooting on the Xbox have you done (if any)?

The first thing we like to suggest is a
powercycle, which will fully reboot the console and clear cache.

For network troubleshooting I recommend clearing the MAC address and restarting the console to refresh the MAC address.

Im getting the error code (0x0000000000000000) when i run the multiplayer test. I also get 0 ping on the detailed network statistics test. Ive tried all the troubleshooting metheds mentiond above. I can sighn into netflix and destiny but i get errors when
i select a show/movie in netflix or my character in destiny. The really wierd thing is i can play Fortnite just fine. A few of my friends that use moble hotspots are have the EXACT same problem and they can also only play Fortnite.

 

Ive also reset everything on my xbox only keeping games/apps with no succsess.

I have the exact same problem. I have contacted Microsoft 4 times in 4 days to get this resolved. I have a nat strict due to the only option I have for internet. I use the at&t homebase. As the issues with the server crash arose I was told that was the
problem on xbox. Yesterday after same issues I called again. I can test my speeds and latency with my computer and everything shows 100%. All speeds are strong. But the xbox shows 0 latency. So after a interesting conversation yesterday with a support tech
from Microsoft he stated its possibly my xbox which will have a charge to fix..... really no joke. The problem started during the core services crash and after 4 days I can't do anything. No destiny no Netflix no movies and TV. Ironically I was able to get
in battlefront 2. But still no party chat. So just to watch my movies on movies and TV I'm having to stream them from Microsoft with my laptop. We know it's not our network. Yes strict nat can cause issues but not like this.

 

Having the exact same issue. Using att hotspot. Installed the season 6 update yesterday and have spent hours trying to trouble shoot ever since. NAT has moved to strict. Unable to move it open. Not internet related. Have worked through all things
on our side of this. Unable to join party or invite.

 

I having the same problem my friend. At least you got to talk to somebody. All i get is a recording.

 

Same thing done everything i know of to do. Cant join a party cant make a party. Cant join a friends game. Cant invite a friend to a game. I can send messages to friends thats about it. Any help would be welcome

 

Same thing. I have and ATT night hawk. Cant due nothing now. Went to strict nat when it wasnt before never had no problems hooking up with friends in partys and games. Now i cant even make a party or join one.

 

I couldn't find anything helpful in that link. It's not like I can't connect to xboxlive. My connection is fine. I can load games but right before I load in I always get a error like it's being blocked. I can load up Netflix, select my profile and scroll
through all the movies and shows but when I select one I get a error before it loads. I know of four other friends all using mobile hotspots that this happend to. It happend at the exact same time for us all. Around 8:00 pm on sept 26th.

 

You are exactly correct man. Dead on correct. You can even watch the trailers or previews to the movies but when you try to watch you get a error. I show upload speed and download speed. It's like xbox servers are blocking nat type strict users as of the
26th at 8:00pm est time zone. That's when mine crashed and hasn't worked since.
