    Network transfer stops at 16.00 kb


    New series s on same network as xbox one. Wireless network netgear nighthawk r9000. Both allow network transfer. Both can down load from internet. Both up to date. Both have game and app updates disabled to prevent other downloads. No down loads in progress. Both have been rebooted. The xbox one has been reset. Both have been unplugged and replugged.

    When I start a transfer and select any game large or small it looks like the transfer starts. Some mbps are shown and they quickly dwindle to 0. 16.00kb are shown to have transferred and it just stops and hangs indefinitely. Sometimes it seems to start then goes to “stopped” state.

    Any ideas?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

    " 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."

    getting disconnected when starting a game

    alright, i used Speakeasy speed test and these were the results:

    Download Speed: 11146 kbps (1393.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

    Upload Speed: 4864 kbps (608 KB/sec transfer rate)

    i'm not sure if this is considered slow or not?

    as for repairs, i've had this xbox for less than 6 months, i hope i dont have to take it in already.
