    Network transfer issue: consoles alternating between found and not found


    Hello.

    Having issues with network transfer.

    With both my original Xbox One (original) and my new Xbox One X (X) being checked to allow network transfer, initially, the original could not be found by the X, but the X could be found by the original on the network transfer page on the settings menu.
    After a power cycle on the original, both consoles could find each other and I initiated a network trasfer form the original to the X. However, all apps and games had their installations stopped and unable to resume or try again. I then veryfied that neither
    console could no longer find each other on the network. I tried another power cycle on the original, but that did not work the second time around. I also confirmed that the connection was all good.

    Please advise.

    XBOX 360 SMARTGLASS APP / CONSOLE NOT FOUND

    Hello,

    So yeah my S7 edge is up to date with the lastest android version, i uninstall the app then re-install > still the same issue console not found

    I tried my xbox 360 on the wifi and with the cable > still the same issue console not found

    I tried my 3 computers on the wifi / with the cable / uninstall - reinstall the app > still the same issue console not found

    Its my Microsoft account on all systems ( pc , smartphone and xbox 360 , xbox one , xbox one x ).

    SmartGlass xbox one working fine on all systems in the same network.

    I tried the shared 4G network from smartphone with the xbox 360 > still the same issue console not found...

    What could the issue ?

    another step that helps a LOT with almost any networking issue is to clear the alternate mac address which can be found in the advanced network settings page

    No Networks Found

    This is on an Xbox 360. The router is broadcasting as I can see it with my phone, 2 laptops and an Ipad. Unfortunately, nothing has changed lately that I can think of that would have affected it. I received a 12 prepaid gold card and wanted to add it and
    that's how I found there was a problem. Unfortunately, my modem and router are on the second floor and the Xbox is on the first, so I can't really use an Ethernet cable on it. I'm wondering if it could be the wireless antenna. Has that ever been an issue?
    I have the original adapter from when they first came out. Its a "G" adapter. Do they ever go bad? I have a new, "N" adapter coming just to get one that is faster. I don't know if that may take care of the problem. I am using a Netgear R6100 router. It broadcasts
    on both 2.4MHz and 5.0GHz. I can see both.

    Wireless adapters can go bad, though it usually would happen over a long time. If you're right and it is the antenna, at least it is a fairly cheap hardware fix. You said this issue just recently started happening? I'm wondering if it may be worth a shot
    to try a few things on the console itself. If you go to System Settings > Storage and then clear the system cache, does that change anything? Also, would you be willing to reformat the console itself?

    Hi there iamtech1,

    Is this from an Xbox One or an Xbox 360 console? Do you have any manually configured settings on your model, particularly ones that would affect the ability of your router to broadcast it's SSID? I have heard of some issues with Arris model modems, though
    I am not certain if your particular model of modem is known to cause issues. Are you able to connect your Xbox to your modem directly via Ethernet cable? If so, test that out and see if it works on a wired connection.
