Discus and support network speeds slow in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; network speed all of a sudden has dropped from 200mbs to 0.5mbs constantly no other devices have this issue not sure what it could be talked with...     network speed all of a sudden has dropped from 200mbs to 0.5mbs constantly no other devices have this issue not sure what it could be talked with microsoft they couldn’t fix it anyone know what it is?

    • Are you having this problem with your Xbox? If you could elaborate the issue would be appreciated.
    • When did this issue started happening?
    • What is your internet service provider?

    Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:



    Restart your modem/router.

    Sometimes a simple restart can fix network issues.



    Check your network connection.

    Go to Settings > Network > Network settings on your Xbox and check if your network status is "Connected." If it's not, try connecting again.



    Congestion on the network:

    If other devices are connected to the same network, they may be consuming bandwidth. Disconnect other devices or stop their internet access.

    Check your network speed.

    Go to Settings > Network > Network settings > Test network speed & statistics on your Xbox to see what your current network speed is. If it's significantly lower than what you're paying for, contact your internet service provider.



    Check for network interference.

    Make sure your Xbox is not too close to other electronic devices that may interfere with your network signal.



    Resetting your network settings:

    Hi Aileronroll, these issues began with the 2wire, its actually what led me to buy a new router. This seems to happen both wired and wireless.

    taidara, it's the standard white 2wire that comes with AT&T uverse in south florida. It was up to date with the netgear firmware and did the same thing, which is why I installed DD-WRT. Same problem.

    As of last night, it started getting HD on Netflix, however, within an hour, it dropped down to 1 bar and refused to increase. Checked my router and speeds and nothing changed.

    Hi there! Have you tried to connect directly to the U-Verse router? It's possible that the Netgear WNDR4300 isn't playing nice with the 2Wire setup. Try to hook it up and see what happens.
